7. Version 2

We had the weekend to make our show opens, lower thirds, transitions, and animated backgrounds as amazing as possible. We got our show open pretty close to where we want it to be. Some concept differences, but I'm sure we can pull off a really great show open. Lower thirds got great responses as well as our transitions. Animated background still needs some touch ups, but overall great progress from last time.

LOWER THIRD 1 & LOWER THIRD 2

For the lower thirds they said that the animation and style was very well done. The only thing that really needed to be touched up was the white gradient backdrop. The edge was a little sharp so we blended the edges a little more for a smoother transition.

TRANSITION 1 & TRANSITION 2

The transitions were a real success. For the first one there was a bit of a white halo around the circles so we went and touched those up. As for the second transition it seemed it was to long for a transition and a little too busy so we were told to maybe speed it up a bit for next time.

ANIMATED BACKGROUND

So for the looping background we went for a look that really tied in with the show open. The circles were fun but they seemed to be kind of a frame for the text so we play needed to play with it a little more before next class. We were also told to be a little more playful with the movement of the circles and be more fun and spontaneous with them.

SHOW OPEN

And last but not least is the show open. We got it to a point where we were happy, but not completely satisfied. The class told us that maybe we should add the Ringling College of Art and Design logo in the beginning to tie in the name circles that come out of the sphere. The sphere also looked too much like a button when it glowed because the shadow was still on it so that's something we had to touch up. Also the lines attached to the circles needed to really be refined because they got a little crazy in the movement. Definitely a good bit of things to fix.
