LOWER THIRDS 1 & 2
From past critiques we got really good feedback and positive notes for our lower thirds. We decided to just make a few touch ups by making the white backdrop move a little, but not so much that it became distracting and we also extended the text boxes in order to fit in any big names that might be put in.
TRANSITIONS 1 & 2
For the transitions we had really good comments for the first one so we really just needed to simplify the second transition. We used less circles and made the logo pop up for just a split second to make the transition a little faster. We were very happy with the end result of the transitions and think that they really help carry the feel of the show open through the entire show package.
LOOPING BACKGROUND
For the looping background we really narrowed it down to a simplified yet fun animation that wasn't too distracting from reading the text. It gives kind of a fun feel to where you are wondering what circle or ring is going to move next, but it isn't so crazy to where you completely disregard the text on the screen.
SHOW OPEN
At last our final awesome show open. We really made our concept more relatable to Ringling College, but also in a way stayed true to our original concept by showing how someone has a thought of the college and within the college are all the majors that are at this school. Our instructor said that the other department heads would definitely love this because it gives each major a shining moment and shows how we all together can create one single great concept.
This project was definitely a lot more rewarding than I thought is was going to be. I do admit in the beginning I was the most excited about this project, but actually going through the process of making this show package I have learned a lot and really have an appreciation for show package design. Me and my partners had LOTS of troubles along the time span of this project, but with a little aspiration and belief in ourselves we got through it. One of my group members sent me an email after the project was finished and thanked me for being the "voice" of the group. He said that I really kept us in line when we got stuck in a bind and helped to keep us going in the right direction. I really think that that was the most rewarding part of this group project. In the future I do plan on being a director, whether it be Art Director, Creative Director, Technical Director, or simply Director so to have someone thank me for the leadership I brought to the group really makes me happy and honored to have been in this group and really pull off this really successful Show Package.
