Here we have our storyboard for our show open. We wanted to create something that showed an abstract look to the creation of an idea, but we also wanted it to be very exciting and fun too. What exactly does an idea look like? Well it could be anything. So we went with the idea of a sphere that bursts out hundreds of tiny circles which represent the ideas and thoughts we have and as they subside they reveal the logo "A Day in the Life."
Some of the critiques we got from our classmates is that it seems really cool and exciting, but they were wondering how it relates back to Ringling College. Our instructor said that with the lines that look like streamers and the different circles it looked to much like a party so we would have to figure out a way to make the look of it more original and not so party-like. I personally didn't get a party feel when I was drawing out my storyboards, but I can definitely see where they were coming from.
